Dave Barnard, 3rd Kyu
One evening last year towards the end of a training session I was asked to do a grading, this took me a little by surprise but I went ahead with it and muddled through, I was awarded the grade but was very disappointed with my performance so I thanked Bryan but said that I would be declining the grade, both Bryan and Pete said that I should not feel that way and left it at that.
I now realise that I had probably been assessed over the past two years and although my grading wasn’t particularly good I had been graded on my ability during the previous classes so I have decided to accept the grade and try to move on to the next one.
